The artwork and the poems are by Klara. During a walk with the dogs in the snow, she started telling me about this poem about snow that she had just come up with. I encouraged her to come up with a poem that goes along with the beautiful picture of an owl she drew recently. She obliged and came up with a few more, here they are.

Up In A Tree!
Out when the moon is bright,
A shadow is cast across the night,
Up high perched in a tree,
There is a little owl smiling with glee!
-o-
People, People!
People, people over here,
People, people over there,
People, people everywhere,
People, people in my hair!

Long Hand Joe
Long hand Joe has long, long hands,
Long, long legs and a long rubber band.
He has a long, long head and a long, long bed,
A long, long doorway and, wow, this poem is getting long so we'll stop now.

Snow, Snow, Snow
It's snowing, it's snowing, it's snowing a lot.
The snow is fluffy and oh, so soft.
It's packable and great for snowmen.
The sun is shining bright,
And there is warmth in sight.
But there is just one problem,
and I don't like what it has done,
because now the snow is all gone!
